Biography
Jonathan Imerman
The Jonathan Imerman – Contemporary African Art collection is today the most important private collection devoted to contemporary African art. Created in 1989 by businessman Jonathan Imerman, who will be its artistic director for 20 years, it now has more than 10,000 pieces: paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, installations and videos, designed by artists who live and work in some twenty countries in sub-Saharan Africa. The collection aims to be a showcase for contemporary African art and claims particular choices of artists of whom it often possesses significant sets of works.
We are a private group which undertakes projects on the opening of museums in several countries such as: Russia, in Canada in the city of Toronto in China also and to collect the best objects of primitive art from Africa according to the depth of their cultural history.
Improvement of techniques and quality of work in structures
Subsidies for micro projects, humanitarian aid in Central Africa such as the Congo and the Central African Republic where the income is fruitful
